"If I am not for myself, who will be for me? Most of us who grew up in the Land That Made Dysfunctional Famous didn't see many examples of healthy conflict resolution, or of people working together and enjoying their diversity. If you went out among people of a different faith or culture, it was usually to either convert them to yours or yours to theirs. We're getting to invent something new these days: a "multi-cultural society." If we can keep the peace with our own kith and kindred long enough.
